When most of the supermarket chains are facing a downtrend of their annual sales revenue, Carrefour Taiwan makes a 10% growth rate in annual sales revenue in 2016, and even makes the top 5 region among Global Carrefour’s list.

Autonomous Digital Signage in Vending with Media4Display

Vend Data Media Solutions is an Irish company specialized in the installation of electronic, remotely configurable vending machines that offer data and media components in points of sale. 

VDMS machines have integrated software for real-time monitoring, automated stock reordering, sales and transaction monitoring with digital advertising and information screens. Hundreds of VDMS vending machines are already installed across Ireland, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada.

On the one side, VDMS was looking for a digital signage solution to equip its vending machines to display advertisements on the built-in displays.On the other side, retailers were looking for a complete solution to manage time, service quality and speed, the health of their staff and to reduce shrinkage.

Vending machines have evolved, it’s now more than just a machine that accepts coins and dispenses products, but it is integrated with high definition displays running dynamic graphics, smart enough to detect and respond to individual viewers, interact-able with customer or their smart phones, enable product recognition technology to ensure right product is loaded and dispensed, and stay in contact with operator to send in real time data via the cloud.
